I år är temat "The challenge of learning - The Future of Education" om lärande, utmaningar och utbildning. Varje år den 9 december äger Nobel Week Dialogue rum, omväxlande i Göteborg respektive Stockholm. Målet för sammankomsten är att samla världens främsta vetenskapsmän, opinionsbildare och tänkare för en serie samtal och paneldiskussioner runt ett aktuellt vetenskapligt tema. Chalmers Professor Anne-Marie Hermansson was a panelist to discuss su Nobel Week Dialogue 2017 i Göteborg. Årets ämne var The future of truth, högst relevant med tanke på de megatrender inom kommunikation, teknik och politik som på alla sätt och vis utmanar sanningen. Patti Smith sjunger och läser ur Herman Hesse. Därefter samtalar hon med Angus Deaton, Nobelpristagare i ekonomi 2015, om uppväxt och familj.

Under 2017 var temat på Nobel week dialogue The  Den 9 december, under den årliga Nobelveckan, kommer Nobel Week Dialogue att gå av stapeln.
